Why Choose Dockzilla
Truck and Trailer Lift Ramps

Dockzilla UHR Integral Lighting

Problem: Multiple vehicle types—from vans to 53’ trailers—and don’t want to dedicate a dock door to one type of vehicle.

Solution: Dockzilla’s Universal Height Ramp is the most versatile option. It can be raised and lowered via push-button operation to connect any size vehicle to loading dock height.

Problem: You need to load a specialized vehicle like a sprinter van and don’t mind dedicating a dock to one vehicle type.

Solution: If you have a lower volume operation and can dedicate a dock to one type of vehicle, Dockzilla’s fixed height Parcel Dock Ramp is likely a good option to raise the entire vehicle to dock height.

Problem: Your dock door is too high for the different types of vehicles you see due to an inferior dock design or slope issue.

Solution: Dockzilla’s Wheel Risers are a simple, budget-friendly way to raise the rear axle of a vehicle to reach dock height. This is a fixed position option and is typically used in lower volume operations.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What types of trucks, trailers and vehicles can Dockzilla lift ramps accommodate?

Dockzilla has lift ramp options that are designed for varying loading situations. The Universal Height Ramp is the most versatile, allowing you to load a wide range of vehicles, from standard 53-foot semi-trailers to shorter last-mile delivery vehicles like box trucks and sprinter vans. Other options include lift ramps that can be dedicated to a dock door based on the vehicle type, slope and volume.

How quickly can Dockzilla lift ramps be installed?

Dockzilla lift ramps are prefabricated modular units. This allows for rapid installation, often in just one day, significantly reducing operational downtime.

Do I need permits for a Dockzilla lift ramp?

In most cases, permits are not required for Dockzilla lift ramps because they are self-supported modular steel structures that do not involve permanent concrete work or footings that attach to your building.

Do I need to dedicate a dock door to a Dockzilla Truck & Trailer Lift?

The Universal Height Ramp allows you to load and unload any size vehicle at the same dock door. With all other Dockzilla Truck & Trailer lift solutions, you will need to dedicate your dock door to one vehicle type.

How do the lift ramps operate?

The Universal Height Ramp and Z-Deck Truck Leveler offer push-button hydraulic operation with a DC motor for minimal electrical work. The Parcel Dock Ramp and Wheel Riser Ramp are set in a fixed position when they are installed. While they cannot be adjusted daily, the fixed position lift ramps may be able to be reconfigured if the site conditions allow for it.

What are the key safety features of Dockzilla lift ramps?

The Universal Height Ramp and Z-Deck Truck Leveler come standard with LED wheel guide lighting interconnected to dock doors, this feature can also be added to the Parcel Dock Ramps. Both the Universal Height Ramp and Z-Deck Truck Leveler can be paired with an integral vehicle restraint. The Universal Height Ramp also includes a driver walkway between units. Overall removing discrepancies between delivery vehicles and the dock door can dramatically reduce ergonomic hazards for employees.

Can Dockzilla lift ramps be moved or relocated?

Yes! A significant advantage of Dockzilla’s modular design is their flexibility. Our lift ramps are self-supported and can be easily disassembled, moved, and reinstalled at a different location within your facility or even at a new property, protecting your investment.

How do these ramps improve efficiency for last-mile delivery?

With the rise of last-mile delivery, smaller vehicles often create height discrepancies at traditional docks—this can result in slow and dangerous loading situations. Our lift ramps allow vehicles to align with the dock door to expedite loading and unloading.
